Control you PC up to 1 kilometer away with the Matrox Extio F2208
Ever wanted to use your computer remotely up to 3280 feet (1 kilometer) away? This is your chance! Matrox Graphics Inc. today introduced this new unique device; the Matrox Extio F2208 KVM extender. Equipped with the latest Matrox KVM technology, the Extio F2208 extends the bus via a PCIe bus interface card while the fiber-optical connection guarantees a good performance without hidden/dropped frames, data latency, and artifacts as seen with compression-based solutions. It is designed specifically for process control rooms, dispatch centers and other mission-critical performance. The Matrox Extio F2208 KVM extender allows critical parts of the computer (like the hard disk) to be stored in a secure location. There is no info on pricing or availability so far.
